VTCT will renew its commitment to WorldSkills UK for another year as competition partner for the Beauty and Related Therapy competitions in 2011.
Every year therapists in training and newly qualified therapists have the chance to enter nine regional heats in one of six competitions including Beauty Therapy, Media Make-up and Nail Art. The competitions show off individuals’ talents in the following skills, beauty therapists, nail technicians and holistic therapists as well as promoting the high standards within the industries. Students can either be entered by their tutor or they can enter themselves.
The final will be held at Cambridge Regional College which will involve all the winners from the heats competing to be crowned best in the UK.

VTCT has been a sponsor of the WorldSkills UK beauty competitions for three years as part of VTCT’s on-going investment back into the education sector and hair and beauty industry. Stephen Vickers, VTCT’s Chief Executive says: “The WorldSkills UK competitions celebrate individual excellence in the training sector and enable entrants to gain recognition for the hard work they have undertaken during their studies. In addition, the competitions are immensely beneficial to the students’ learning experience as they are able to showcase the outstanding new skills they have acquired through their studies.”
VTCT organise and support the competitions and work with industry experts to provide practical prizes.
