Level 3 Complementary Therapies - Task Based Controlled Assessments

The level 3 complementary therapy task based controlled assessments (TBCA) for:

  • Massage
  • Reflexology
  • Aromatherapy

There will be 3 windows of opportunity to sit these in January, May and Sepetember. This is to offer more flexibility, particularly for private training providers. The papers will be available to examinations officers only and downloadable from the Linx2 area of this website for a period of one week only. They will then be removed.

The papers will be internally marked by the centre's assessors according to the mark scheme prepared by VTCT and which will be available through this website. If a candidate fails a paper offered in one assessment window, they will need to sit a new paper in a different assessment window.

The papers will then be sampled by EV's in the same way as current NVQ and VRQ papers are.

Pathology

There are a few questions coming in on unit UC30324 for less common
pathology. The endocrine system is not listed in this unit, because it was not
listed in the learning outcomes and assessment criteria  when they where written.
It is however a good idea for centres to suggest that candidates do study some
extra conditions for the endocrine system in order to extend their knowledge.
This need not be included in assessment however.

For your information the link below features a document on the pathology required for this unit,
