Nail Services

The nail industry has increasingly become separate to beauty therapy as specialist nail boutiques become commonplace in the high street.

VTCT is accredited to offer NVQ and SVQ in Nail Services at Levels 2 and 3, which can be taken as a progression from Level 1 Beauty Therapy.

We also offer our own vocationally related qualifications covering nail art, nail technology and manicure.

UB200N4 - Carry out nail art services

UB200N5 - Apply and maintain nail enhancements to create a natural finish

UB300N6 - Enhance and maintain nails using UV gels

UB300N7 - Enhance and maintain nails using liquid and powder

UB300N8 - Enhance and maintain nails using wraps

UB300N9 - Plan and create nail art designs

UB30N10 - Develop a range of creative nail images

UB30N11 - Airbrush designs for nails

UB30N12 - Prepare and finish nail overlays using electric files

UG31H32 - Contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities

The VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Nail Treatments (QCF) is a specialist vocationally related qualification.
This qualification will develop the basic knowledge, skills and competencies that learners need to work as a manicurist or pedicurist in a beauty salon and is the minimum standard required to work effectively. This qualification enables candidates to provide treatments for relaxation and improving the condition and appearance of the skin and nails on the hands and feet. The qualification is most suited to learners who wish to embark on a career as a nail technician.
