Annette Tran

Annette Tran recently completed the Level 3 Beauty Therapy course. She has also studied various other courses at Elmwood College, including, Level 2 Beauty Therapy, Indian Head Massage and Reiki to name but a few.

Annette knew she wanted to go back to education but didn't want to follow any of the mainstream subjects. After her husband was diagnosed with heart disease, she decided to study something that would benefit his health as well as others.

She explained, “I met many people, who studied beauty-related courses at Elmwood, they were so positive and complimentary of the tutors and the learning experience. I decided to come and find out more for myself. It definitely confirmed this was the right course for me. Although Elmwood is a bit of a drive from where I live, I felt it would be worth the miles!"

She continued, "I would never have believed I was capable of this, but here I am and I must say I owe a great deal of it to Elmwood. I was always well supported and given a great deal of encouragement to push myself and believe that anything is possible!"

Head of Unit, Lesley Muir said, “Since coming to Elmwood, Annette has demonstrated great commitment to her studies and given support and encouragement to fellow students. I have no doubt she will achieve her long term goals.”

Annette now runs her own business offering mobile treatments and hope one day to open a healing sanctuary similar to something that the Marie Curie foundation has set-up.
