In January 2015, a 22-year-old Flavio Gomes Caldeira started on an Intermediate Hairdressing course at Michaeljohn Training School (MJTS). Soon thereafter, MJTS found Flavio a placement at Mr Male Grooming as part of his apprenticeship course.
Having successfully completed his Hairdressing course, he progressed onto the barbering short course and successfully completed this in 2017. Flavio’s training was carried out within the training school while being supported by his placement, including some assessments.
Flavio says: “Michaeljohn has helped with my career and I am very grateful. They have supported me throughout my apprenticeship and I enjoyed attending the school.”
On Flavio’s website, he talks about the personal impact one’s look has on their self-image and how his own experience has led him to deepen his knowledge in the application of hair prosthetics. Flavio has specialised in the treatment of hair loss and baldness and has achieved a qualification in the male hair replacement system. He now works as a Hair Replacement System Stylist and a barber in his home city of Lisbon, Portugal, having moved there in 2017.
