VTCT at The Skills Show

Skills and careers event The Skills Show, is the nation’s largest skills and careers event, taking place on 16-18 November 2017 at the NEC Birmingham.

The UK’s biggest skills and careers event and annual celebration aims to inspire the young skilled stars of the future. This unique event, which runs for three days, will showcase the exciting opportunities in further education, skills and Apprenticeships, highlighting the vital importance of skills to economic growth in the UK.

As a longstanding sponsor of the WorldSkills beauty therapy regional and national heats, VTCT is in attendance on stand H6-L-1 and exhibiting at the Skills Show and overseeing the competitions.

VTCT recognises that WorldSkills is an exciting opportunity for learners in further education and apprenticeship programmes to showcase their talents, while also highlighting the vital importance of skills to economic growth in the UK.

Year on year, VTCT has sponsored the WorldSkills UK Beauty Therapy regional and national heats, and this involvement has ensured that the right calibre of candidate gets put forward for Team UK each year, ensuring the team have the best young competitors to not only compete against, but beat candidates from across the world.

Having battled through the VTCT sponsored WorldSkills UK Beauty Therapy National Qualifiers and months of intensive training, skilled young apprentices and students have made it through to the final 2017 showdown in front of 70,000 spectators at The Skills Show at the NEC in Birmingham (Nov 16-18).

Come and visit us on our stand to discuss how we can help training providers and learners to continue to increase standards in our sectors. We will also have demonstrations covering hairdressing, barbering, media make-up and bar skills.

Our staff will have the latest information on our qualification offering, including Apprenticeship support and our new Technical Level Qualifications.
