Case Study: Adam Thomas

Adam’s first taste of hairdressing started at 13 when he started a Saturday job in a local salon.

Attending VTCT approved centre Weston College from the age of 14 within a school link programme, Adam progressed up the levels from a full time level 2 programme to an apprenticeship. During his time at college he completed in many competitions often taking a top award and after finishing this training he was fortunate enough to secure a role as a stylist before working himself up to a manager’s position.

Taking a huge leap of faith Weston Hair Studio was born. He is very skilled and so puts his clients at the forefront of everything the salon does. He is rated 5 stars by the Good Salon Guide.

The salon has competed over the last two years in Weston’s Top Model, which is an annual community show. This recent year taking first prize in front of a sell –out crowd.

Adam completes photo shoots for fashion boutiques and up and coming models.

Returning back to college Adam is currently taking his Assessors award and delivers practical sessions and skills workshops to our apprenticeships learners along with this year taking an active part as an employer in graded unit end assessments.
