First awarded in 2016, the AA College Restaurant of the Year has been developed in conjunction with People 1st to recognise accredited colleges within the AA College Rosette Scheme that have demonstrated outstanding achievements in a realistic working environment. The evening recognised the excellence of hotels, restaurants and their respective teams across the length and breadth of the UK.

Recently renovated, The Brasserie was commended on the ever-evolving seasonal a la carte menus and the relaxing atmosphere with a nod to vintage charm.

Maria Bowness, Head of School for Hair, Beauty, Catering, Hospitality & Events, commented: “It was a fantastic night of celebration and to win the AA College Restaurant of the Year award was an accolade to the Brasserie hospitality and catering staff and the fantastic students who all work so hard day in, day out. We are incredibly proud to be able to display such a fantastic accolade in our restaurant”.

The Brasserie prides itself on providing students with realistic expectations of the hospitality industry and enabling them to experience a wide range of service and production opportunities. They learn how to meet the needs of the ever-growing industry and demands of the customer, truly preparing them for the world of work.
