12 Careers for Christmas Day 12 – Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships Career PathToday is the final day of our 12 Careers for Christmas series – and we’re turning our attention to Apprenticeships.

An apprenticeship is a combination of paid work and paid training in your chosen career. The paid work is called “on-the-job” and the paid training is called “off-the-job”. When you are considering becoming an apprentice, there are a lot of considerations that you will need to make, but it is also a fantastic opportunity for you to follow your passion.

If you’re just beginning to think about a possible apprenticeship, you probably have a lot of questions. We’ve provided additional information that may assist you, available for download by clicking on the image to the left. This could be an opportunity for an exciting future, something that could help you to secure your dream career.

It’s important to know that depending on which country in the UK you live in, the way apprenticeships are run does differ slightly. In order to make sure you’re getting the information that is relevant to you based on your location, visit our Apprentice page and select your region on the map.
