CIMSPA-endorsed Levels 2 & 3 Sports Qualifications
Behind today’s Advent Calendar door, we are getting active with a focus on the Sports, Active Health and Fitness sector. We are looking at the six VTCT qualifications across group exercise instruction and personal training, which are endorsed by CIMSPA (The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity).
The qualifications meet all of CIMSPA’s requirements and have been developed to meet the requirements of relevant stakeholders for engagement, including employers and subject matter experts.
The qualifications are set against new CIMSPA professional standards for the industry and were designed to meet skills gaps that employers and service users have highlighted in the past.
The qualifications aim to provide realistic expectations of the job roles and clearer career pathways for learners. They also provide qualified learners with chartered membership to CIMSPA. Find out more by clicking on the information sheet to the left.
The six qualifications, endorsed by CIMSPA are:
VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Instructing Gym-based Exercise
VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Instructing Group Exercise to Music
VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Instructing Group Circuit Training
VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Instructing Group Water-based Exercise
VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training
VTCT Level 3 Combined Diploma in Personal Training
