Centre: North Warwickshire & Hinckley College, Nuneaton campus (NWHC)
Qualifications:
Inspirational Beauty Therapist and Nail Technician, Erin Adeyemo has never stopped striving to achieve more in her personal and professional life.
“I chose to study at North Warwickshire & Hinckley College (NWHC) as the Nuneaton campus was convenient for me and I’d heard NWHC had a good reputation in their beauty department. I wanted to achieve a recognisable qualification, but I couldn’t wait to get into industry! I had such a passion for learning, in fact, I still do. I thoroughly enjoyed study for my qualification. The course was interesting and informative whilst being enjoyable at the same time. I enjoyed the practical sessions the most – being able to work on real life models which is a great warm up for going into industry, and an invaluable tool.
Ultimately I think my passion is my motivation. The nail and beauty industry is such a fast growing, ever changing industry that you could never become bored. I think no matter your age or experience, we should all continue to develop our skills further with advanced additional training courses. I try to attend at least 4 CPD courses myself per year. The next course planned is one I am in fact hosting, with an international nail artist where I will be advancing my fine nail art skills.
I currently own my beauty salon, Tweezers Beauty in Bedworth. I have had the salon for 11 years now and employ four staff. I also own a very successful nail brand, Nail Gaga. Nail Gaga is trade only nail supplies ranging from gel, acrylic and gel polish to nail art, accessories and tools. We supply colleges across the country with student kits and support.
I also head up a team of educators including myself that offer a wide range of nail training courses across the country, from beginners to advanced, endorsed by Habia. We constantly support our clients & customers with local charity donations. We take part in larger charity events such as break through breast cancer and comic relief, that’s within my salon and also as a nail brand donating a percentage of our sales to charities such as breast cancer uk.
In my home life I have two wonderful children and a very supportive husband. They are my inspiration and my drive – time with them is priceless.
My advice to current students would be, while you’re still at college, be a sponge! Absorb everything you learn, ask questions if you don’t understand. This is your foundation, the building blocks that prepare you for a fantastic career in a wonderful industry.”
Erin has been involved with and entered a number of competitions including:

Erin is also writing her own nail training programme, backed and endorsed by Habia.
