Qualification: VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Make-up Artistry
Karen Henson from Peterborough attended Peterborough Regional College where she successfully completed the VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Makeup Artistry.
With a large family at home, Karen who is now 51, never thought she would get an opportunity where she would be able to go back into learning and become as successful as she has with the course.
She said: ‘My VTCT qualification has helped me to gain a place at university and it has also helped me to get my life back on track. Even as a mother of eight you can lose touch with what you can do and what you are worth; hopefully now I have the chance of a happy ending in life as I was not always this fortunate.’
Karen has an eye for detail and plans to progress even further and go on to study a BA (hons) Degree in Southampton.
