Apprenticeships

No matter what role you fill in this process, making the decision to take part in an apprenticeship is a significant commitment that has immense rewards.

This is an influential time for an apprentice to be a part of a successful business and hone key industry skills. They will be learning important foundational skills in the classroom that they can then take and apply in the workplace.

Whatever your involvement, there is a substantial amount of information to consider. We have collected and categorised this information to help you in the decision-making process.

We invite you to explore your role in this pivotal career opportunity through the links below. We welcome you to contact us with any questions you might have after looking through this information.

Between 1st August 2020 and 31st January 2021 the government will pay £2,000 to employers in England for each apprentice under the age of 25 that they hire, and £1,500 for apprentices aged over 25.

This is in addition to the £1,000 the government already provides for 16-18 year-olds.

There will be no limit on the number of incentive payments that an employer can claim for apprentices eligible to receive funding, provided each apprentice meets the criteria, including being a new employee.
