Lysa has held a number of senior roles within the private, social enterprise and voluntary sectors specialising in organisational growth and development through effective use of technology. She spent 25 years in publishing and publishing services working at Macmillan, Lexis Nexis as well as a consultant to Pearson, Informa and other information providers. Lysa also acted as a trustee for a number of charities, most notably The Child Poverty Action Group.

In 2004 Lysa made a major career change joining Connect, a specialist stroke charity as Commercial Director. This was followed by eight years as CEO of The Makaton Charity, working with speech and language specialists, Early Years providers and families to improve communication outcomes for children and adults.

She has recently retired as Executive Director of The Liberal Jewish Synagogue and welcomes the time and opportunity to volunteer utilising her governance, digital, project and people management skills to VTCT.
