VTCT trustees are at the heart of our strategic direction and with our continued growth and impact, we are looking for up to four new trustees to join our Board who have the passion and commitment to support our mission for advancing education for all people and all communities.

In 2021, we embarked on a new strategy that we believe will ensure VTCT’s success continues. Consequently, we have recently acquired another Awarding and Apprenticeship Assessment organisation, Skillsfirst, to join the VTCT group of companies. It is an exciting and complex time for us, and we have many opportunities ahead delivering a change programme to ensure our qualifications, assessments, services, and programmes are set to deliver for learners in the future.

Our trustees are at the heart of our strategic direction, working with, and supporting our senior team and other staff colleagues, ensuring we set and achieve our ambition. We are looking to appoint up to four new Trustees to join our Board during 2022. We would like to encourage as many applications from as broad a base as possible from people who will provide a strategic contribution and help steer VTCT in our mission of advancing education for the public good.

To add to skills already held by our trustees, we would value applications from people who bring qualifications or assessment experience; Health Care or Early Years knowledge (including trade and technical media), general experience of charity or public sector organisations. Additionally, recent experience in apprenticeships, independent training providers or Further Education or Sixth Form Colleges will also be welcomed.

We would welcome to hear from people who have relevant lived experience, perhaps as a young learner, for example, and from those who are aspiring to be a first-time trustee. Most of all, we are looking for people to join us who have enthusiasm, commitment and a passion for advancing education for all people and all communities.

If you have the passion and commitment to support us as we transform and evolve, we hope you will consider joining us on our challenging yet exciting journey.
