VTCT is proud and delighted to support NCFE as its specialist partner to design and develop the T Level Technical Qualification in Hair, Beauty and Aesthetics. The T Level contract was awarded to NCFE by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (the Institute). As the market-leading Awarding Organisation for the Hair, Beauty and Complementary Therapies sectors, VTCT is proud to contribute the knowledge and experience of its own technical experts and key stakeholders to develop the government’s new gold standard technical qualification.

The announcement made today by the Institute and the Department for Education (DfE) is part of the fourth wave of implementation for the new programme of T Levels. Development on these qualifications will begin immediately and delivery of the Hair, Beauty and Aesthetics T Level is scheduled to commence across England in 2023.

We’ll collaborate with expert contributors to help us to raise the standards and expectations of skills within their industries, shaping the future workforce and nurturing a new generation of talent.”

T Levels signify a significant change in technical education as they have become one of three main choices for post-16 students which also includes A levels and apprenticeships.

They have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses to ensure the content both meets industry needs as well as prepares a learner to enter the workforce.
