The EPA process

  • Application and registration

The first step is to complete our EPA application form and confirm EPA resources are in place. VTCT will then confirm your centre approval and set you up to use our EPA system, epaPRO, where you can register your apprentices.

  • Gateway

You then can upload all of your apprentice’s Gateway evidence on epaPRO for review by the EPA Team.

  • EPA booked and undertaken

We will work with you to schedule a convenient date for your apprentices’ EPA and let you know once confirmed. The EPA will then be undertaken on the scheduled date and time.

  • Results

The VTCT Independent Assessor will release the results in epaPRO. If successful, the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education will produce and send out your apprentices apprenticeship certificate.
